Rape Me tab

“Rape me” is written by Kurt Kobain and is second single from their third album “In Utero”. The lyrics might be about Cobain's distaste of the media's coverage on his personal life. Whatever it means, feel free to use your own interpretation when playing these “Rape me” guitar tabs. It was the first song Nirvana wrote for the album but the last to be recorded.

"Rape Me" was written on an acoustic guitar in 1991 when the band finished the previous album, “Nevermind”. The song was also played live for the first time the same year, two years before it appeared on an album, but the lyrics where different then. These “Rape me” guitar tabs are for the studio version. When released “In Utero” entered the Billboard charts at number one and received critical acclaim as a drastic departure from “Nevermind”.
