Man, it took me some time to figure out how to bass for this amazing song. But here it is, finally, my first tab ever, the amazing shiver bass tab. It is really hard, but i did my best to explain exactly what you should do. I hope you guys like this tab! Standart Tuning (G, D, A, E) Pre-riff a.k.a. Intro a.k.a. the part where you only hear chris' acoustic guitar ---------------------------------------------------------- -------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- -------------- ---------7------7-----7-7----7-9-------7-----7-7----7-7--- -7-9---7-6---- ---------------------------------------------------------- ------------7- Riff played for the first time (cos the bass line is different when jonny plays it for the second time) ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- -7--6------------------------------6-6-6-6---- -------2-----2--4-5----5-5-5--4-------------7- X2 ------------------------9-8----- ----6-7----7--7-7-7----------6-- -9------------------------------ -------------------------------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- --5---------7------0 <- first verse starts right here "So i look in your direction, but you pay me no attention, do you?" You know, it comes right before: "And it's you I see, but you don't see me. And it's you I hear, so loud and clear." well, on this "electronic part" you play: ---------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------11--9--13--7--7-2 --7---7-7---7---7-7---7-7--7--7---7-7--------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------ -2-2----11--9--13--7--7-2---2-2---11--9--13--7-- ------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------ And when the drums start, right before chris starts singing, you play: -9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9 -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- And on the verse: "And it's you I see, but you don't see me. And it's you I hear, so loud and clear. I sing it loud and clear. And I'll always be waiting for you," You have to play what you played on guitar riffs 2 and 3 And then, on the last verse: "So I look in your direction, But you pay me no attention, And you know how much I need you, But you never even see me." You play this easy line: -------------------------------------- -------------------------------------- -------2-----------2-----------2------ -0-----------0----------0------------0 Phew... here it is, the shiver bass tab. It was really hard to tab it. This is one of the coolest coldplay basses, and guy's job isn't easy on this one. The tab got kinda screwed when i posted it, but if you copy and paste all this on a txt file, it should look ok again.
