Notes:


This is my interpretation of Declan O'Rourke's beautiful song Galileo, based
on Declan's live performances and also on Carl Eaton's excellent Youtube
video.

I think there are a couple of mistakes, so if anyone has any improvements
please don't hesitate to comment etc. In particular I think the chord in bar
21 is completely wrong, but it does as a placeholder and isn't totally
dissonant. Can anyone provide the correct chord?



This tab is based on fingerstyle playing. Generally speaking the thumb is
responsible for playing the bottom three string (D-A-D) and the index,
middle and ring fingers for playing the third, second and first string
(G-B-e) respectively. Declan plays it a little differently using a plectrum.



Picking hand technique is fairly simple, a basic stair climbing pattern for
the most part. This shouldn't be too difficult even for beginners, but might
require several weeks of practice before it becomes natural.



Fretting hand technique can be quite awkward, especially for those chords as
in Intro 2. Placing the capo higher on the fretboard will reduce the amount
of stretch required of the fretting fingers. Find the most comfortable
position for you. See tips section below.
