# My Kind of Carryin On as recorded on Sun Records by Doug Poindexter and the Starlite Wranglers Here is my interpretation of the words and chord basics for this strange little gem I found on the Sunbox, a three LP box set of early Sun recordings. According to the liner notes, this was Poindexter's only recording for Sun (Sun 202), recorded in May 1954. As I said, this song is both strange and a gem, so try to hear the original recording if you can. I have tried to place the downbeats properly with the words, and yes, there are six unbroken measures of C in the middle of the chorus.
Hope you enjoy this. --Nick Adams nadams@infowest.com (common time) INTRO: |G / / / | / / / / | C / / / | / / / | VERSE 1: C / / / / / / / I called my baby and ....
