Guitar Tab

"Straight" by Lincoln from the self-titled album.
Transcribed by Randall Leeds

Totally accoustic, finger picked. Listen to the song for the exact rhythms.
I've done my best to transcribe every note I can but it's unrealistic to
expect
it to be perfect. Use your ears.

Tune down one half step.

Interlude:
Play x2, strumming the final Eb the second time rather than picking the
pattern.

Ab|4--4-----------|--------------|7---------7---|9----------9-|
Eb|2--------------|0---0-----0---|5---5---------|0--0---------|

After this is a little harmonic run that I can't figure out. If anyone could
do this and submit it or send it to me, I'd appreciate it a lot.

Verse 3:
Same as second verse, but you can start out not picking every note. If you
listen to the song I think he leaves out some notes and then builds it up. If
you want to just play everything though, that of course sounds good.

Pre-chorus and chorus (no interlude):
The second time through the pre-chorus and chorus is the same as the first.
This time, don't play the interlude, but play the outro.

Outro:
   Dbsus2 Ebsus2 Dbsus2 Ebsus2
Eb|5-------5---|7--------7--|5-------5---|7------10p9-------|
Bb|5---------5-|7-----------|5---------5-|7-----------12p10-|
Gb|7-----------|9-----------|7-----------|9-----------------|
Db|7-----7-----|9-----------|7-----7-----|9-----------------|
Ab|5---5-------|7--7-7-7----|5---5-------|7-----------------|
Eb|------------|------------|------------|---0-0------------|

Repeat the outro several times and end with a slowly strummed Fm:
   Fm
Eb|2-----------|
Bb|2-----------|
Gb|2-----------|
Db|4-----------|
Ab|4-----------|
Eb|2-----------|

To summarize, the overall structure of the song is as follows:

Intro
Verse 1 (Lead-in at the end)
Verse 2
Pre-chorus
Chorus
Interlude
Verse 3
Pre-chorus
Chorus
Outro

That's it! If you appreciate this tab, please send me an e-mail and I'll try
to tab out some more Lincoln stuff. No one seems to know this gem of an
album.
