I’ve been a DFA fan from the start, and it’s sucks that they broke up, but even without a distorted
Bass, Sebastien still sounds so damn good. This song is pretty easy to pick up. If it doesn’t
Sound right, you’re not strumming right, listen to the song. I’m pretty sure I got this
Song almost 100% accurate, some was done by ear and some was done by watching videos.
The version on his my space is shorter, this is the extended performance version.

Verse 1

Very similar as the intro, but you have to palm mute it. When you’re playing the
Last little riff, make sure you don’t palm mute the last 3 or 4 chords and just strum
It normally.

Chorus (“Who do we care for, who do we make our friends?...”):

Really easy, make sure you sneak in that last set of chords by simply
just shifting your root a note up the neck, from 6 to 5.

B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

After the chorus play this

E|--666-0-111-33333333--666-0-111-33333333-----------------------------------|

This again but palm muted.

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| x2
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--888-0-333-55555555—888-0-333-55555555-888-0-333-55555555-----------------|

After that, he sings, “Ooooh the fire”, that’s when you play this little bit.
Palm muted of course. When he plays it he doesn’t mute the last few chords.
