You may know the Golliwogs better as Creedence Clearwater Revival. "Fight Fire"
was one of their last singles before they changed their name to CCR, and started
making hits. The only other Golliwogs cut readily availabe is "Porterville",
which for some unknown reason showed up on CCR's debut album. A re-recorded
version of another Golliwogs cut ("Walk On The Water") is also on the debut
album. All the
Golliwogs singles were released on a now out-of-print mid-70's album. "Fight
 Fire"
is available on the compliation box set, "Nuggets: Original Artifacts From The
 First
Psychedelic Era, 1965-68", from Amazon.com.
