This is not exactly the way it is played on the record.  An interesting dynamic is to raise the third verse and
 chorus by ½ tone,  e.g. from C to Db and then to finish with the final (repeat) chorus raised by an additional
tone, e.g. D to E.
It's a great ?feel-good? song which also has a great message.  Have fun.
