(Brent Mason uses a thumb pick to free up his other fingers to get double stops) Spend the time to practice this triplet, it's comes more natural to not rely only on a pick to get this climb up the board, and you'll find you'll be struggling to play this up to tempo with a pick and not using fingers for the double stops. I've notated a bend instead, you can bend it downward to similate the bender while holding the 3rd string on the 14th fret steady, but you end up muting the 1st string while the bend rings out, so you have to omit the 3rd string Major 3rd and play single notes.
