                          WEEKEND IN PARADISE
                             JAMIE WEBSTER

NOTE: This was a request for this song to be done in standard tuning.
On the album version it seems as if he is playing a half step
down as the chords I have sound a little brighter. As the song
progresses though it sounds correct though.

If I play along to a LIVE version of this song from YouTube it
sounds perfect. Make sure to keep this in mind when playing and
      rating this tab.

Lastly, Jamie Webster plays this with a capo on the 3rd fret
but I left it without a capo. Capo if you want to and transpose
      the chords then.

Based on what I have told you please do not rate this tab less then
5 stars. It is what it is. Thanks.

INTRO:
D E A E
D E A E

CHORUS:
      D
The wheels have fallen off
D E
It also signs of endin’
  E A A E
You’ve had enough for hours but ya?carried?on pretendin’
E D
Ya shoes?have lost their shine
 D E
The convo’s lost?it’s pace
E A A E
So now you’re in a taxi feelin’ feelings of disgrace
   E D D E
You’ve never got no money ’cause of all the times ya lend
          A
Was it a pointless three day bender
       E E A A A
Or a weekend in Paradise, my friend?

VERSE:
      A
The spring is in his step on Friday afternoon
           E
There’s a feelin’ sweepin’ through the air
         D
All the lads are on the blower, they’ll be finishin’ soon
         E
In your mind you’re already prepared

       A
I’ll phone me man for sugar then I’ll phone our kid
              E
‘Cause he’ll cover it til I get paid
             D
Then you’re out with all the firm an’ you’re off ya lid
      E
Only confident, never afraid

     A
The night draws to a close and now there’s nowhere to go
    E
Ya turn an’ look at one of ya mates
           D
There’s a lad he know from work and he lives alone
    D E E
So it’s more sugar an’ a couple o’ crates

E F#m F#m D
Or is it burning your bridges at both ends
D A E E
Same old scene since you were seventeen?

VERSE:
 A
Some can handle it no more
A E E
  Some’ll do it forever
  E D
Spend ya weeks walkin‘ round with ya head to the floor
    E
No time for the news or the weather

A A E E
Ya first pint on a Friday, ya last gin on a Sunday mornin’
        D
And it all creeps up on ya in between
     E A
No reasons why, no early warnin’
