If any one has any additions or corrections, please send 'em in. The only tough thing about this song is that the strumming pattern is a bit weird. I don't know how to explain it, but play w/ it a bit & you should get it. C Am (pick the C chord from verse is Am until "could it be you, could it be you?" the bottom up then down a couple strings. Am again until it goes to the C on "if you're just sick", then back to Am... the transition chord is a G (between this & chorus.) E G E G you can all just kiss off into the air.... E G E D stare, they'll hurt me bad but I won't mind, .... G D G D all the time (yeah yeah) yeah they do it .... those chorus D's are a bit weirdly strummed too...just listen tho'. back to Am for the "Permanent Record" verse...for the break I usually play something like Am-C-G-Am-C-G-D-G-D...I don't worry about being too precise though, I think it probably changes a bit every time they play it. Just wig out a lot, especially on the last D's, & you'll be fine. For Gordon's 1-10 count, just come in on an Am gradually until "Everythingeverythingeverythingeverything!" which is a G. Last chorus is the same as the 1st, end the song on a Am. That's it! send complaints, love letters, & useless Femmes info to lagalom@kenyon.edu
