Mind Eraser No Chaser by Them Crooked Vultures

Tabs (Ver. 2)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mind Eraser, No Chaser – Them Crooked Vultures
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Guinness O’Shea
Email: [email protected]

Tuning: Chord diagramE MajorE)

Noticed there weren’t any good guitar tabs for this one.
This is my first attempt at making any tabs whatsoever, so feedback is welcome.
I don’t own a working electric so I’m tabbing this according to how it best sounds on acoustic.
Personally, I like adding a little depth to my covers, so I tuned to D.
If you want to play in E, keep reading the tab. I include both ways.
I also don’t have the greatest patience so I’m not tabbing any of Josh’s fills/solos/etc.
Hope this helps!

INTRO:
e|----------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|----------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|----------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|--xxxxxx--------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|--xxxxxx--------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|--xxxxxx--------------------|

VERSE (0:01)
e|----------------(0)--------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-----------4----------77777------------------------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|--3h43h4--------+5+---77777------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-------------4--------77777------------------------------------|

That open e is optional but sounds kinda cool with the Chord diagramA augmentedA harmonic.
And by the way, if you dont want to tune to drop D, you don't have to:

VERSE (in Chord diagramE MajorE tuning)
e|----------------(0)--------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-----------4----------77777------------------------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|--3h43h4--------+5+---77777------------------------------------|
Chord diagramE MajorE|-------------2--------55555------------------------------------|

CHORUS Chord diagramA augmentedA (0:40)
e|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-4444-4444-4246-7642-7777-7777-7777-7666-----------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|---------------------------------------------------------------|

Right before CHORUS Chord diagramBB do this: (1:00)
e|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-4424-4444-4224-4444-7777-7777-7777-7777-----------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|---------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|---------------------------------------------------------------|

Sometimes they don't drop from Chord diagramA augmentedA to Chord diagramAbAb (7th fret to 6th fret) at the end of that little
Now here's why I like to tune to drop D.

PRE-CHORUS Chord diagramBB (1:06)
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|---24---2----1----1----1----1----1---------------------------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-44---22-2-11-1-11-1-11-1-11-1-11-1--------------------------------------|

CHORUS Chord diagramBB (1:10) Then it goes to this.
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|---4----4----2----2----1----1----1----1----------------------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-44-4-44-4-22-2-22-2-11-1-11-1-11-1-11-1---------------------------------|

Alternately, you can just do this:

PRE-CHORUS Chord diagramBB (E-tuning)
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|---57---5----4----4----4----4--------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-44---22-2-11-1-11-1-11-1-11-1-------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

CHORUS Chord diagramE MajorE tuning)
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|---7----7----5----5----4----4----4----4----------------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-44-4-44-4-22-2-22-2-11-1-11-1-11-1-11-1---------------------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

I just like doing guitar and bass parts on my guitar.
So the second way might better suit you.

BRIDGE (2:07)
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|---5----5----5----5----5----5--5-4----5----5----5----5----5--------------|
Chord diagramG+G|-55-5-22-2------55-5-22-2-----------55-5-22-2------55-5-22-2-------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-----------44-4-----------44-4--4-4-----------44-4-----------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

TRANSISITION (PRE-CHORUS Chord diagramBB) (2:37)
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|---57---5----4----4----4----4--------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-44---22-2-11-1-11-1-11-1-11-1-------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

And Here's the order:
INTRO
VERSE
CHORUS Chord diagramA augmentedA
PRE-CHORUS Chord diagramBB
CHORUS Chord diagramBB
VERSE
CHORUS Chord diagramA augmentedA
BRIDGE
PRECHORUS Chord diagramBB
CHORUS Chord diagramBB
VERSE
HORN PART

Like I said, I like added a little bit of bass to my guitar parts, but you should be
to play either way with this tab.
Good luck and have fun!
And in case you really wanted to...

HORN PART (staccato) x2
e|-----5-5------5----------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramBB|-568----6-65----98-86-5-----56-65--5-----------5-------------------------|
Chord diagramG+G|-----------------------7--7-------7--75-4--45-7--------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-----------------------------------------7-------------------------------|
Chord diagramA augmentedA|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Chord diagramD MajorD|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

I can't believe I actually tabbed that horn part.
