Transmission by The Tea Party

Chords with lyrics

Artist:The Tea Party
Song:Transmission
Album:Transmission
Tabbed by:Matt Jones [email protected]

Tab key:
~ = let ring
% = pick scrape

Tuning: CGCGCD (low to high)

The opening is just wierd guitar noises and a lebonese funeral dirge. If
your that picky about how to play this then your lost already. The music of
the Tea Party is to be interpeted, not replecated.
The drums kick in and the song continues. When Jeff Martin starts singing
the guitar comes in.

VERSE

Chord diagramC majorC|-0-0-----------0-0-----------0-0-----------0-0-|
Chord diagramG+G|-5-5-----------6-6-----------3-3-----------6-6-|
Chord diagramC majorC|-0-0-----------0-0-----------0-0-----------0-0-|
Chord diagramG+G|-5-5-----------6-6-----------3-3-----------6-6-|
Chord diagramC majorC|-----------------------------------------------|
  fear see distance
  shattered life's deceit

Its up to you if you want to let the chords ring, stop right there, or mute
between them. Do what sounds best to you.

PRE-CHORUS

Depending on whether you like the live version or the studio version, this
is up to you. For the live version, slap on all your crazy fun effects and
turn the distortion off and just let it ring. For the studio version, start
at about the 12th fret and slowly pick scrape towards the lower regions of
the fret board. Don't do a straight slide up, randomly move the pick upwards
and downwards on your way, and really dig the pick into the strings.

CHORUS

Yet another point of your own discretion: after the final chord there are a
number of things you can do before starting the riff over again. You can do
a 6th or 12th fret harmonic, a deep bend on the 6th fret of the Chord diagramG+G string,
another pick scrape or a (my favorite) a huge slide up to the 12th fret and
pull out some major vibrato.

Repeat that till youve broken the minds of all your friends. (Great for
parties where everybodies on acid)
