"It Ain't All Flowers" by Sturgill Simpson chords. Mainly I think the B chord sounds right, played with your first finger on the second fret of the A string, third finger on the fourth fret of the D string, and fourth finger on the fourth fret of the G string. But I also like to alternate a Bm in occasionally as well - especially in the intro. I like to hammer on the A string, second fret (B chord). I'm not positive about the D/C#, but it's as close as I could find and I think it works for that part. This is my first tab. Intro: B Bm (x4) OR just: B (x4) B Cleaning out the darkest corners of my mind D E Taking all of my full circles, and making a straight line B Been getting to the bottom of the bottom getting to me D E Holding up the mirror, to everything I don't want to see D But it ain't all flowers E B Sometimes you gotta feel the thorns D E B And when you play with the devil, you know you're gonna get the horns
B B B B B Been dancing with the demons all my life D E Every time I find my grove, they cut in like a knife B Been a sin eater since the day I was born D E Tired of feeling weight down, from carrying 'round all the pain that keeps me torn D E B So I pray when I lay me down to die D E B Grab a glass of wine, and a seat to dine, and go ahead and eat the whole damn pie B B B B B D D/C# Em (x5) D It ain't all flowers E B Sometimes you gotta smell the thorns D E B And when you play with the devil, you know you're gonna get the horns
