Song : Needle in the Hay Artist: Elliott Smith Album : Elliott Smith After hearing this song on the soundtrack of "The Royal Tenanbaums", it haunted me for weeks. It was my first exposure to Elliott Smith and I became an instant fan. The simplicity of the chords with it's complex arrangement and haunting melody forced me to figure it out, and now I wish to share it with everyone. This is my first foray into creating ASCII tablature. I've tried to make it as clear as possible. Once you get the hang of the chord changes on the & of 4, it's easy sailing from there.

any other source as I haven't found accurate tab anywhere else. If you

To play the INTRO, it is comprised of the first 3 measures of the VERSE
section (starting at "*" and repeating 2x) then playing the CHORUS
section.
The BRIDGE section is the instrumental when Elliott breaks out into full
chords. He does it again in the last part of the last verse which is
EXTENDED and almost identical to the bridge.
