"It's only rock ‘n roll (but I like it)" was released in 1974. It was the lead single from the “It’s only rock ‘n roll” studio album and is written by Jagger/Richards. Ronnie Wood, who had at that time not yet joined the band, also contributed but is not credited. Use these guitar tabs to play the famous song in their style.
This was the first time Wood contributed to a Rolling Stones song. Richards plays electric guitar on the song, Wood plays 12 string guitar. The song had a promo video where the band members wore sailor suits, playing in a circus tent that was filling up with bubbles. This was way before the MTV era so promo videos were not that common. The video was one of Mick Taylors last performances as a member of The Rolling Stones. The song has been covered by numerous artists, from the Spice Girls to Twisted Sister. You can use these It’s only rock ‘n roll (but I like it) guitar tabs to play your own cover version.
