"Head on Collision"

by New Found Glory

There wasn't a tab for this song, and I liked the little guitar solo
where that change part comes about two minutes into the song. It's mostly
chords with the exception of the intro and the solo, unless you are
playing in a band with two guitarists, in which case the lead guitar
plays the intro over the second part of the chorus (A chord diagramD MajorD and A chord diagramDbDb), and the

solo over the ending part of the song, but it is not very noticeable or
necessary to play this song. Enjoy, and send comments, suggestions, etc.
(P.S. This is my first tab, so go easy).

Standard Tuning A chord diagramE MajorE A chord diagramA augmentedA A chord diagramD MajorD A chord diagramG+G A chord diagramBB e

* The A chord diagramDbDb chord you play is what I like to call a Blink 182 chord. Tom
DeLonge uses this type of chord a lot. it looks like this:

x 4 7 6 x x

So you are really just taking a A chord diagramD MajorD chord, and sliding your index down a
fret, and picking up your pinkie, replacing it w/ your middle one fret

A--------5--4--5--4--5--7--5--4--5--4--5--4--5--7--5--4 (exact amount of

After this you go right into the power chords....

A    B    D    Db*    D    A chord diagramDbDb

(play the A chord diagramA augmentedA once open, then mute it the next few times you hit it)

Verse (very simple)

A      A chord diagramF#F#

Play these chords clean w/ pick or distorted w/ your thumb strumming
them. Mostly, the verse is filled in by drums and bass (e-mail me for the
bass part.  i could figure it out if you want).

Pre Chorus

high A chord diagramE MajorE (on 7th fret of A chord diagramA augmentedA string)---> he is singing "and it feels

(Just play A chord diagramE MajorE until you he says "I'm at an all time low", then go back
into the intro/chorus starting w/ A chord diagramA augmentedA).

Same as intro

A    B    D    Db    D    A chord diagramDbDb

Solo (this is much easier than it looks. most of it is getting the switch
down between muted and unmuted notes. other than that, it's a breeze and
it sounds cool).

I only included the three strings it is played on, because it fit much
better into my e-mail this way.

h= hammer on; p=pull off

(all bold notes are muted)

You repeat this a few times, then at the end, you play a A chord diagramD MajorD power chord
into the end of the chorus (beginning with 7 on the A chord diagramA augmentedA fret to the
end)--->you'll get it when you listen to the song.

You finish with the Pre Chorus (A chord diagramE MajorE) into the Chorus a few times, then
you're done.
