Hands Clean - by Alanis Morissette

Intro

¦---------Patern I----------¦-------Patern II-----------¦

e-------------|---------0---|---0-----5---|---------0---|
B-----3-----3-|-----3-----3-|-----3-----3-|-----3-----3-|
G---0-----2---|---0---------|-------------|---0---------|
D-------0-----|-------------|-------0-----|-------------|
A-3-----------|-2-----3-----|-3-----------|-2-----3-----|
E-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|

Patern I is only used for the intro as far as I can figure,
then you only use patern II.
Overall you play 5 times pattern II.

CHORUS

"...............wouhouh, this could..."

e-8-7p8---7----|8-7p8---7/10---|-8-7p8---7----|8-7p8---7/10---|
B------------8-|---------------|------------8-|---------------|
G--------------|---------------|--------------|---------------|
D--------------|---------------|--------------|---------------|
A--------------|---------------|--------------|---------------|
E--------------|---------------|--------------|---------------|
This is what the 1st guitar plays, while the secomd one plays
the pattern below.

e-12--12---14--14--|10--10---12--12--|12--12---14--14--|10--10---12--12--|
B---13--13---15--15|--12--12---13--13|--13--13---15--15|--12--12---13--13|
G------------------|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
D------------------|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
A------------------|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
E------------------|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|

you basically play this pattern 4 times.

Then that's the the heavy chords, it is getting 'a bit messy' here as there
probably 3-4 different guitars, so here are the basic chords:

e|--0--|	e|--0--|	e|--0--|	e|--0--|
B|--1--|	B|--3--|	B|--3--|	B|--3--|
G|--0--|	G|--0--|	G|--0--|	G|-----|
D|--2--|	D|--4--|	D|--0--|	D|--2--|
A|--3--|	A|--5--|	A|--2--|	A|--3--|
E|--x--|	E|--x--|	E|--x--|	E|--x--|

During the heavy chord, one of the thing I can pick is the pattern below, it

is very similar to the one above:

e-13--13---15--15--|-12--12--12--13--|-13--13---15--15--|-12--12--12--13--|
B---12--12---12--12|---12--12--12--12|---12--12---12--12|---12--12--12--12|
G------------------|-----------------|------------------|-----------------|
D------------------|-----------------|------------------|-----------------|
A------------------|-----------------|------------------|-----------------|
E------------------|-----------------|------------------|-----------------|

VERSE

Play pattern II 4 times.

CHORUS

(see above)

BRIDGE

This is where Alanis is singing "What part of history..."

The basic chords are:

Em - C - G - D

For the end, it is pretty much the same patterns as described above.

I do realise this might not all be very clear, but, If you listen carefully,
You should be able to find where to to play what.

Hope you will find this useful,
Enjoy!

Steph
