Final Fantasy Xi Batallia Downs tab by Misc Comp Games

I started tabbing out the Batallia Downs soundtrack,
because I've always liked this song. Unfortunately,
I stopped in the middle. It's almost completed and
the rest sounds mostly to be slight variations of
what I've tabbed out already. There is only one
exception. The rythem guitar changed slightly in
two places. The first place is right after the sitar
comes in (essentially at the end of this transcription).
The second time occurs around 3:43 or so.

I am confident that this transcription is almost exactly
the same as the original transcription.

I'll start with the intro, which sounds like it
is played on an accoustic guitar that is amplified
electrically. To match the sound found on the
soundtrack, I find it's easiest to start by
matching the low bass note on the intro.

NOTE: This pattern is not repeated exactly. Throughout
the rest of the song, the order of these simple riffs
are shuffled. Listen closely to the soundtrack for the
exact order.


What follows is the lead. I'm not sure of the instrument.
Perhaps it's a flute? Although I have not explicitly
written it below, I find that it helps to use vibrato
on most of these notes to better match the sound of
the flute. Perhaps there are some combination of effects
that could improve it further. Or (in my opinion), better
yet would be to make it sound more like the sitar that
you hear later in the song throughout the entire piece.
