Tuning: D Tuning (D G C F A D) The Only Thing They Fear Is You by Mick Gordon Tuning Double Drop D (DCGCFAD) or D standard 8 string (DGCFA#D#GC) Note : I bet Mick recorded this song with an 8 string guitar in d standard, but the cover I posted on Youtube was made with a 7 string instead. If you want to play this song on an 8 string, just tune your guitar 2 full steps down. That's quite a bit, but you should be able to follow my tab just fine by ignoring the low g string. If you want to follow my tab on a 7 string, be sure to have heavier strings than usual for maximum tuning stability. On my 26.5-inch scale 7 string, I have a 70 gauge string on my Low D and it does an okay job in keeping the guitar in tune.
