That's because after a proshot live video of this song finally popped up (Lisbon 2008), I found out that Brad plays the clean part on the G, B, and E strings, instead of the D, G, and B like I originally had in my tab. It's a tad harder to play this way, but it is how he does it. Just think of frets 5 through 8 as one finger per fret and you'll get the idea. During the breakdown, Guitar 3 fades in on a C note and starts sliding between notes softly in the background, with a lot of feedback. The first 3 notes are easy enough to make out, but after that there are some more where the feedback completely overpowers the original note, making it impossible to tell what the rest are. Therefore, instead of making things harder on myself, I just omitted the part I wasn't positive on (this part is sampled live anyway). The 7th fret harmonic on Guitar 3 leading into the outro is a continuation of this feedback, with a volume swell. It's probably not actually a harmonic, but the pitch can be played as a harmonic. On the live version, Brad plays Guitar 1 for the first half of the song, Guitar 2 during the bridge (though he doubles the bassline instead of staying on a C like on the album), and Guitar 3 during the outro. Mike plays Guitar 2 during the 2nd chorus, does the little piano part in the bridge, and plays Guitar 4 for the outro. Guitar 1 during the outro is either sampled live or not played at all. Sorry about how long the outro is, Guitar 3 is playing 16th notes so it takes a lot of space just to do two measures worth of text.
