Oddlife Tab by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Oddlife tab by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Guitar Tab

Tuning: Standard (E A D G B E)

Intro:

This is played on a keyboard or synth of some description and so it's not really meant to be played on
guitar. To my ear, the guitar doesn't come in to much later in the song but I tabbed out the keyboard part so
you have something to play during this. I also tabbed out the synth fill that plays just before the verse.

Keyboard Part:

Synth Fill:

Use a fuzz to get that square wave kinda sound. Or just lots of distortion.

Verse 1:

As with the intro, there isn't really a guitar part. The keyboard part is played at an octave above what
accessable on a guitar so I didn't tab that out. So here's the vocal melody instead.

Pre-Chorus:

Much the same story here, no guitar, all melodies played on other instruments. So again, I tabbed out the
vocal melody to play along to what Stu is singing.

   "Sugar Plum Fairy dances now..."

Chorus:

Finally an actual guitar part! This just follows the vocal melody so its nice and easy.

Instrumental B reak:

The classic Gizz style microtonal guitar returns in this solo. The open notes are often picked multiple times.
The number of 0s is not exact so just listen to it a few times and figure how long to hold each note for. I've
broken it up into the individual riffs that repeat just to make it easier to follow.

After this, the song keeps going for a minute but as far as I can tell there's no more guitar so I won't tab
out any of the other instrument parts.
