 For example --- string gauges low to high are:

 1st string/G = 0.008 gauge string
 2nd string/E = 0.010 gauge string
 3rd string/A = 0.016 gauge string
 4th string/D = 0.024 gauge string
 5th string/G = 0.042 gauge string
 6th string/C = 0.052 gauge string
