Mountain Medley tab by Eric Johnson

Guitar Tab

This is basically Venus Reprise from the album Venus Isle with lyrics. He has only done
live a few times.

In the chord sequences the rhythm is not specified (listen to the live versions to get it)

-----------------------------------------------------
--4--------------------------------------------------
--3--------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------
--6---6p4h6p4h6p4h6p4--------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------

then just use E flat major/C minor pentatonic to come up with your own line/ make
similar to EJ's

then
-----------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------
--8h10p8h10p8h10p8h10--------------------------------
------------------------8h10p8h10p8h10p8h10p8--------
-----------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------

---------11------------------------------------------
-4--6--------6---------4---6-------------------------
-4--6----11--6--------4----6-------------------------
---------9---6-------4-------------------------------
-2--4----------------------4-------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------

Drum fill

Main Chord sequence (we'll get on top of that mountain)
------(3)-------------6--6---10---8------------------
--8----6---4---1------4--4---8-----------------------
--8----5---3---1------3-(3)--8----8------------------
|-(8)---6---1---1---------6---8----6------------------|X however many times
--6----3---1---3------6--3---------------------------
---------------4-------------------------------------

Other chord bit (and a' when, it might happen to you)
---------------------------11--10--------------------
-1-3--1---4--3---1--3--1-----------------------------
-1-3--1---3--3---1--3--1---10--10--------------------
-1-3--1---5--3---1--3--1---8---8---------------------
-----------------------------------------------------
-1-3--4---6--6---1--3--4-----------------------------

the 2nd/3rd time round you can play the Fm7, Gm7 and A#M chords an octave higher

Then back to main chord sequence etc.

Solo is E flat major/C minor pentatonic (just improvise, I copy a few licks from EJ)
