This is a by-ear arrangement of the Jake
Shimabukuro cover of "While my Guitar Gently
Weeps". Jake does an insane cover of the song on
the ukulele, but it's hard to find a uke tab
for it. Maybe this guitar transcription will help.
All credit to my guitar teacher Scott, who's
awesome enough to work out weird requests like
this (and he gets 'em perfect every time).

Capo on 8th fret
Sorry, no timing/strumming. For the single chords,
try just plucking them instead of strumming. The
capo can make it confusing, so remember this: your
double dotted (12th) fret will be 4 in this tab,
and your next dot (15) will be 7. The highest note
(in the solo) is at the last fret on most guitars
(20), in the tab it's 12.

Repeat the Verse as before (so you're doing it
twice again, first with the normal ending then
with the 2nd Verse ending). There's some small
differences here, it's more strummy. Also after
the "X" there's a pair of notes (1,4) that you
don't play here, instead strum the 3 chords after
the X fast.
After all that, you'll play the [2x41] chord once,
then play this chord: [2x21] just before the solo
Solo (middle parts might be off)
Low part of solo (play twice) then middle once.

Middle part 2 of solo (play once) then play the
next High part (with the 12's) 4 times using
different strumming patterns each time.

The cool final strum pattern is
d udu d udu d udu d d d
Gradually slow it, then strum the final chord
once and go into the fingerpicking part with the
same chords. I'm not positive on the picking
pattern.
Fingerpicking part (do 2 reps for each chord,
gradually slow and at the end pluck the highest
and lowest strings together.

The final chord is tricky. The fingerpicking seems
to use the 245 notes, but on top of those you hear
the 11 being trilled. It's an impossible reach so
you'll have to fake it.
PS: You can capo on the 3rd fret to play this too,
it sounds good (just doesn't sound like the uke).
