D G D With salvation's walls surrounded, G D A D Thou may'st smile at all thy foes.
Verse 2: D A D See, the streams of living waters, G A springing from eternal love, D A D well supply thy sons and daughters, G A and all fear of want remove; C A who can faint, while such a river E A ever flows their thirst t'assuage?- D G D grace which, like the Lord, the giver, G D A D never fails from age to age. Verse 3: D A D Round each habitation hov'ring, G A see the cloud and fire appear D A D for a glory and a cov'ring, G A showing that the Lord is near: C A thus deriving from their banner E A light by night and shade by day, D G D safe they feed upon the manna G D A D which he gives them when they pray. Verse 4: D A D Savior, if of Zion's city G A I, through grace, a member am, D A D let the world deride or pity, G A I will glory in thy name: C A fading is the worldling's pleasure, E A all his boasted pomp and show; D G D solid joys and lasting treasure G D A D
