The album version of this has 2 electric guitars, one clean with an
amp tremolo effect, and the other semi-clean, both played WITHOUT
picks. The tremolo effect could possibly be approximated with some
hectic chorus pedal settings. Although John and Sonny probably play
the two parts on the album, it is very impractical to play either at
the same time as singing. For practical purposes, if you want to play
the album parts with two guitarists, one singing, then the handiest
thing to do is to have the singer play the clean part, and the other
guitarist the semi-clean, and swap for the choruses.
I hope this isn't too confusing- the tab for the solo walks a fine
line between being understandable and not taking up too much space so
that you don't have to wade through pages of tab. ASCII's such a
bummer- all this took up just over a single page of manuscript paper
for me. Anyway, corrections and comments always welcome.

Chorus:
This is how the chorus is played the first time- the last 2 bars are
played differently each verse. I'm not writing each verse out since it
takes up an awful lot of space- refer to the album to get the other
fills. However, note that the last (outro) chorus consists of, more or
less, the first two bars played 9 times altogether.
