Guitar is tuned down half a tone ie E=Eb A=Ab D=Db ect
Yep, get your wah wah pedal out, spark up and let it flow! This is a really atypical Hendrix tune, but is
one of my favourites. And it's quite simple too!
B9 F#7
I just want to talk to you.
B9 F#7
I won't uh, do you no harm,
B9 F#7
I just want to know about
B9 F#7
your different lives,

B9 F#7
on this here people farm.
B9 C9 F#7
I heard some of you got your families,
B9 C9 F#7
living in cages tall & cold,
B9 C9 F#7
And some just stay there and dust away,
B9 C9 F#7
past the age of old.
B9 C9 F#7
is this true?
B9 C9 F#7
Please let me talk to you.
C#9 D9 G#7
I just wanna know about,
C#9 D9 G#7
the rooms behind your minds,
C#9 D9 G#7
Do I see a vacuum there,
C#9 D9 G#7
or am I going blind?
C#9 D9 G#7
Or is it just remains from vibrations
C#9 D9 G#7
and echoes long ago,
C#9 D9 G#7
Things like 'Love the World'
C#9 D9 G#7
and 'Let your fancy flow',
B9 C9 F#7
Is this true?
B9 C9 F#7
Please let me talk to you.

Let me talk to you.
C5 C#5
I have lived here before,
C5 B5
the days of ice,
C5 C#5
And of course this is why
C5 B5
I'm so concerned,
C9 C#9
And I come back to find
C9 B9
the stars misplaced
C9 C#9
and the smell of a world
C9 B9
that has burned.
(Solo)
The smell of a world that has burned.
Well, maybee, maybe it's just a change of
climate.
C#7 E7#9
I can dig it, I can dig it baby, I just want to see.
B9 F#7
So where do I purchase my ticket,
B9 F#7
I would just like to have a ringside seat,
B9 F#7
I want to know about the new Mother Earth,
B9 F#7
I want to hear and see everything,
B9 F#7
I want to hear and see everything,
B9 F#7
I want to hear and see everything.
Aw, shucks,
If my daddy could see me now.
Generally speaking Jimi rocks his pedal at a constant pace, like you would if you were tapping your foot
with the music. The actual rhythm ebbs and flows and changes in a real jazzy way, so you'll need to listen
the track. The chord change from B9 to C9 (and likewise from C#9 to D9) in particular changes in form and timing and is sometimes even omitted. So basically as with all tunes by improvisationally inspired artists
best just to do your own thing!
