[Song: Roy Harper "Tom Tiddler's Ground"] [Transcription by Gordon Walker <scogpw@thor.cf.ac.uk>] Another I'm not sure I've posted before (cos I hadn't quite finished it??). This transcription is *not* exactly as Roy plays it - but works for me! He uses a dropped top E as well I think on normal tuning - or is it a full open tuning in D? He also plays the second D (my D*) _up_ the neck for the socond chord, but in my tuning it never seems to sound right trying to do that to me (plus it's easier to hit the C/D afterwards doing it my way!). (oops - I forgot G - but I'm sure you can survive without my little
pictures for that one (don't forget the bottom E dropped to D!).
Note for the end of the chorus and every other verse line:
The walk down at the end should be played stressing the bass notes on
the A string (ie pluck them on the beat), and then there is a little
pull off using the first finger to play the open A (either from the B
(in the verses) or the Bb (in the chorus)) followed by plucking the
bottom D normally and then strum. Best to listen to the record to see
what I mean (if I'm making sense of course)!
