Penny And Me Chords by Hanson

Penny And Me chords by Hanson (Ver. 2)

Guitar chords with lyrics

Seeing as how every version of this song on here is wildly inaccurate here are the
correct chords.

The chords are from a Youtube video titled "Penny And Me Official Acoustic"
Guitar is tuned as standard with a capo on the 1st fret.

When I submit t his some of the formatting goes a bit crazy and I can't seem to
change it . The chords are correct but on some lines the "D" and "A" chords (for
example) are really close together when they actually should be really far apart.
Listen to the record and hear when they should change - it'll be good practice.

A
Cigars in the summertime
          E
Under the sky by the light
      A
I can feel you read my mind

I can see it in your eyes
              A
Under the moon as it plays like music every line
                                                 E
There's a rug with the bleeding dye under the fan in the room
         A
With our passions burning high
                                           E
By the chair with a leopard skin under the light
            D (mute)
It's always Penny and me tonight

D
    Said Oh Oh

A
Hop on the plane, step with both my feet
            A
Riding in seat number three on a flight to NYC
                                       E
Got my bean in a coffee cup next to my seat
                    A
Catch the view with another good book to read

Sending home on the friendly skies
            E
Missing her eyes
            A
It's always Penny and me tonight

   A
Cos Penny and me like to roll the windows down
                            A
Turn the radio up; push the pedal to the ground
                         D
And Penny and me like to gaze at starry skies
D
Close our eyes, pretend to fly
            E (mute)
It's always Penny and me tonight

D
           Said Oh Oh Yeah
D
            Um No No

A
Staring at a million city lights
           A
But still Penny and I are alone beneath the sky

Feel the wind brushing slowly by
            A
If I could soar I would try to take these wings and fly
                                 E
Away to where the leaves turn red
              E
But no matter where I am instead
                                     D/C#
Singing along to "Feeling Alright" Yeah
D
Or making it by in the pink moonlight
            A
It's always Penny and me tonight

                         A
Cos Penny and me like to roll the windows down
                            A
Turn the radio up; push the pedal to the ground
                         E
And Penny and me like to gaze at starry skies
                               D
Close our eyes, pretend to fly

             Bm
Said Oh Oh

                                D
Close our eyes, pretend to fly

            E
It's always Penny and me tonight

C#m
Well Penny likes to get away
 E
And drown her pain in lemonade
F#m
Penny dreams of rainy days
               D
And nights up late by the fireplace
               E
And aimless conversations about the better days
