Well, since lads here won't accept my ukulele tab since this is a guitar site. i'm gonna invent chords and
give you the picking pattern. You'll need to learn 6 new chords.
IMPORTANT I wrote the tab with the following tips/requirements:
1. Lisa tunes her uke three halfsteps lower, so if you wanna sing along tune it to EAC#F#.
2. The picking pattern is simple but really fast (especially if she performs it solo) so this song
requires a lot of hand strength.
3. The picking pattern is the same through the whole song. and goes like this:
1 3 2 4 (with 1 being the string the most far from floor, 2 being next to the 1st etc) or
E string - C# string - A string - F# string or
F#|-X----------X-------------|
C#|-------X-----------X------|
A |---X-----------X----------|
E |---------X------------X---|
🎸
Accuracy Rating: - Votes: -
4. Also i would recommend playing this on at least concert uke 'cause when you tune your soprano down
three steps it tends to buzz.
the chords that you'll need to learn are:

INTROC 1 x4
C 1
It was early in the morning,
C 1
We were sitting on the stoop,
C 1
There wheeled away a starling
C 1
And I thought that I would too.
2 3 C
Oooooh for all I knew,
2 3 C
I was lost through and through,
2 4 2 4
In my high heels and my old dress
2 4 2 2 5 1 7
With my new keys in the wrong city.
2 3 C 2 3
Aaah I tie the knots to remember in my heart,
C 2 3
So I choke and I sputter to a stop,
C 2 3 C 6
I am a borrower and lender of the lot.
C 1
I walk away asleep
C 1
And chalk an outline round the scene
C 1
This shadow play of whiskey talk,
1 2
A heavy denier dream.
2 3 C
Ooooh let it be,
2 C
I was lost in him and me.
2 4 2 4
In my high heels and my old dress
2 4 2 2 5 1 7
With my new keys in the wrong city.
2 3 C 2 3
Aaah I tie the knots to remember in my heart,
C 2 3
So I choke and I sputter to a stop,
C 2 3 C
I am a borrower and lender of the lot.
Instrumental break
(before the end of the instrumental break the ukulele starts to play again. I couldn't get this one right
but you can play either 6 or 7.)
2 3 C 2 3
Aaah I tie the knots to remember in my heart,
C 2 3
So I choke and I sputter to a stop,
C 2 3 C
I am a borrower and lender of the lot.
C 2 3
I tie the knots to remember in my heart,
C 2 3 C (only the top string and then strum once)
