Dandelions by Five Iron Frenzy
Tabbed/Chorded by Joseph Visaggi
Thanks to Matthew Price for giving me a starting point and to Five Iron Frenzy
for writing such an amazing song.
The chords for this song are mainly ska style or punk style (i.e 5th chords
a.k.a. power chords); however, I will tab out the full chords for some of the
uncommon ones.
Verses: (Play these as barre chords, but only using the D, G, B, and high E MajorE
strings. [ska style])
B, E, A, D, A, E, A, E MajorE (x2) [no E MajorE the second time]
(try doing octaves on this part)
F#5, G#5, A5, B5B5
F#5, G#5, A5, F#5, F5F5 (listen for the timing on that F5F5)
F#5, G#5, A5, B5, A5, E5, A5, E5E5
Choruses: (These should be played only using the low E, A, D, and G+G strings.)
A5, E5, B5, E5, D5, C#5, B5, E5E5 (x2)
Last Chorus:
(Second Time) A5, E5, B5, E5, D5, C#5, B5, E5, D5, A5A5
Bridge:
C#5, D5, A5, E5E5 (x2)
C#5, D5, D#dim, E5, Fdim, Adim, E5E5
D#D# diminished

(It should be noted that D#D# diminished could be substituted for A augmentedA diminished
because, in theory, the chords are the same; however, playing the A augmentedA diminished
will give the feel that the chords are ascending [which is intentional].
Additionally, the fingerings are easier to get to with the A, in my opinion.
But be sure to do whatever works for you.)
