This version is written out in the original key of E. Interestingly, the vocal melody changes throughout the song -- I've noted it only with a reminder that it goes "up" or "down", but if you listen to the recording, you'll know what I mean. A dash between two chords means the second one comes pretty quick. Note that the chord "moves" (F#m to B7) on the word "down" in the first chorus only! Later choruses go directly to the B7 so the vocal harmonies work better. The first two chords of the third verse are played as a single big strum -- I've noted them by dollar signs ($). Note also that they're right on the tail of the instrumental chorus, (i.e., the last measure of the instrumental chorus is overlaid by the first measure of the third verse). Again, listen to it.
