Waves Chords by The Dear Hunter

Waves chords by The Dear Hunter

Guitar chords with lyrics

The Dear Hunter's unreleased song "Waves" from the upcoming Act IV. I tabbed this from a
couple of different Youtube videos of Casey playing the song.

A few things to note:

-There are a few lyrics that I may have transcribed incorrectly. It's kind of hard to
hear from the live videos. If you have corrections please comment.
-Pretty much any Am chord can be replaced with an Am7 chord. It sounds great, but I
can't tell if it is exactly what Casey is playing or not.
-Same goes for F and Fmaj7 chords. Either one will work and sound good.
-Capo should be on 1 or 2, Casey plays it both ways.

Am C
I thought that I knew love
C G Fmaj7
but it was just the wave crashing over us
Am C
and in the breaths between the ones we meant to breath
         G Fmaj7
I had my head under my feet

i'll anchor the engine to a canyon far beneath(?)
Am C
the water rushed up from the boards below
C G Fmaj7
so i started slicking my hair with the kerosene

F G

C Am

Fmaj7 G C
and I can't see the lighthouse
C Am
yeah I'm praying that these waters don't take me
