let the first chord ring here too
and play it twice on the second chorus - once right before "so" and once on "hard"

Part 5: Part 6:
                                                      slide from (777xxx) to it
Db|----4--------4--(4)---7---(4)----5--------7----(4)-- ---/12----------------|

                         /
the 5 here sounds a little better i think but its a stretch
make sure you do some muting on those top 3 strings - just press down on the
strings when you strum it and let back up

he adds the (444xxx) in there sorta like a ghost note - does it every time it
shows except at the end when you slide directly from the (777xxx) up to the (121212xxx)

this part also sounds like he might hit the top 3 strings on the downstroke and
then gets the low 3 strings on the upstroke - so thats why the two are a bit set
apart, but make sure you hit the top 3 harder - its kinda tricky and you dont
have to do it but it sounds good

intro

(1) I heard about your trip
I heard about your souvenirs
I heard about the cool breeze, and the cool nights and the cool guys that you
spent them with
I guess I should've heard of them from you
I guess I should've heard of them from you

(2) Don't you see? Don't you see?
That the charade is over.
And all the best deceptions and the clever cover story awards
Go to you
(3) So kiss me hard
Cause this will be the last time that I (2) let you
You will be back some day
And this awkward kiss that tells of other people's lips
Will be of service to giving you away (4)

intro again

(1) I heard about your regrets
I heard that you were feeling sorry
I heard from someone that you wish you could set things right between us
Well I guess I should've heard of that from you
I guess I should've heard of that from you

(2) Don't you see? Don't you see?
That the charade is over.
And all the best deceptions and the clever cover story awards
Go to you
(3) So kiss me hard
Cause this will be the last time that I (2) let you
You will be back some day
And this awkward kiss that screams of other people's lips
Will be of service to giving you away, to giving you away

(5) Im waiting for blood to flow to my fingers
I'll be alright once my hands get warm
Ignoring the phone, I'd rather say nothing
I'd rather you never heard my voice
You're calling too late, too late to be gracious
And you do not warrant long goodbyes
You're calling too late
You're calling too late
You're calling too late (6)
