Important:THIS TABLATURE IS MY OWN INTERPRETATION OF THIS SONG. IT MAY BE WRONG. IT IS NOT AT ALL THE WORK OF CRADLE OF FILTH OR THEIR RECORD COMPANY. ALSO, IF YOU'RE ANGRY BECAUSE OF ALL THE ERRORS IN THIS TAB, THEN FUCK YOU. MAKE YOUR OWN FUCKING TAB IF THIS ONE'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU! I SPENT OVER FIVE HOURS ON THIS ONE AND THIS IS JUST MY FIRST VERSION! Also, on a lighter note, if you do make your own fucking tab, please E-Mail it to me. My E-Mail address is down by my name. Thank you.
Band:Cradle Of Filth Song:The Forest Whispers My Name CD:Live Bait For The Dead Tuning:The bass player for COF uses a five string bass. I've never played a five string so my guess on his tuning is BEADG. On a 4-string I think you drop 5-frets down from standard tuning. Get your E10 to=A. E should make a B note when it is played open. Then B5 will =E So tune your A down to an E. E5=A so tune your D to an A. A5=G so tune your G to a D. Now D5=G so when playing on the G-string add 5 frets and play it on the D-string. Example: instead of G-2-3-2 play D-7-8-7 Note:Your strings will be really loose. Tabbed By: William Griffin "Pimpopotomous@aol.com" Please E-Mail me with any modifications, corrections, or new tablature for this song. You can also E-Mail me for a copy of the song in WMA format. I could upload it to your E-Mail address if I have the time. The timing varies but I think you can figure it out. It even varies within each measure. Keep in mind that I am playing from a CD that was made onstage then mastered in a studio, which means that the notes could be altered from whats played on the CD this song originally came from. I am also playing on an acoustic guitar, but I did the tuning above, and I'm only using four strings on it. Key: h= hammer on p= pull-off ()= note is held Bass Intro before guitar comes in D--------------------------- A--------------------------- E--------7---5-------------- B-(0)--6---4---3/5h6p5\3---- x4 from :01 to :15 This is where the guitar comes in and makes it confusing D--------------------------- A--------------------------- E------7---5---------------- B-0--6---4---4p3h4p3p2------ x8 from :16 to :42 At:43 seconds into the song it goes into some shit that I won't attempt. This lasts until :58. D--------------------------- A--------------------------- E---6-3---6-3--------------- B-3-----5------------------- x4 from :59 to 1:18 Each note in this part stretches to about 3 seconds D--------------------------- A---(5)-(6)-(5)-(4)--------- E--------------------------- B--------------------------- x2 from 1:19 to 1:37 Now play this D---(5)-(6)-(4)-(3)--------- A--------------------------- E--------------------------- B--------------------------- x2 from 1:38 to 1:58 D--------------------------- A-(5)-5/7h8p7h8\(3)h4p3\1p0- E--------------------------- B--------------------------- x4 from 1:59 to 2:25 At 2:26 the song cuts out except for the keyboard. this lasts until 2:39. During this, the guitarist strums a chord while I think the bass holds B3 for one second at 2:33 then Dani says "Make some more fucking noise, Nottingham." On this part, be especially careful not to bend the string D-------------------------------------------------- A-------------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------------- B--3-2-2-3-2-2-3p2h3h4p3p2h3p2--5-4-4-5-4p3h4p3p0-- x8 from 2:40 to 3:26 On the eighth time finish with B(1) and E(3) simultaneously instead of B0 from 3:27 to 3:42. Let the E(3) cut out while using h and p between B1 and B0 to keep it going. The bass cuts from 3:42 to 3:46 during a guitar piece. On this part, play B-(3)-(0)-(3)-8-6-5 on the first one then seven from below (time it with the drums.) D-------------------------------------------------- A-------------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------------- B--3-3-3-3-0-0-0-0-3-3-3-3--8-8-6-5---------------- x8 from 3:47 to 4:22 Now there's a bass line that I can't figure out. Then there's all the cheering and shit from the crowd at the end of the song.
