Sleep This Away
                            Cancer Bats

Tabbed by: Happpyfeet

Amazing song by the cancer bats, really easy to play and sounds pretty right
to me.Quite a bassy feel to this song; so whack the bass right up on those
amps and Enjoy :)Listen to the song to work out the rhythm, its really
straight forward and easy to pick up!

Tuning:Drop C (CGCFAD)

The very first bit is palm mute on the bottom 2 strings with a pinch
harmonic and a bit of feedback, I use fith fret middle c string,
but its all preferential, so have a play and pick which works best for you.

On the fourth time play:
(0:15-0:19)
D|--------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------|
F|----------5-----------10-----8--------|
C|--5-3-3-5-5--6-6------10-----8--------|
G|--5-3-3-5-3--6-6---0--8---0--6--------|
C|--5-3-3-5----6-6---0------0-----------|
pm - -

Then the verse is pretty much the same, just alternating between the two
(0:20-0:41)
D|-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
F|-------------5------------------------------5-----------10-----8-------|
C|-----5-3-3-5-5--6-6---3-555--3-55---5-3-3-5-5--6-6------10-----8-------|
G|-----5-3-3-5-3--6-6---3-555--3-55---5-3-3-5-3--6-6---0--8---0--6-------|
C|-----5-3-3-5----6-6---3-555--3-55---5-3-3-5----6-6---0------0----------|x3

after playing that through you move on to the pre-chorus which is pretty simple:
(0:42-0:54)
D|------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------|
F|-12\6-6\5-5/10-10------------5----5-------------|
C|-12\6-6\5-5/10-10---0-0-0-0--5-66-5-55--0-0-0-0-|
G|-10\8-8\3-3/8--8----0-0-0-0--3-66-3-55--0-0-0-0-|
C|--------------------0-0-0-0----66---55--0-0-0-0-| x2
pm
after just play open on the first three strings again for another 10 times
and on the 11th silence it almost immediatly after playing or you can dead
note, which ever suits you:
(0:56-1:00)
       D|-----|
       A|-----|
       F|-----|
       C|-0---|
       G|-0---|
       C|-0---| x11
pm

Chorus is pretty simple and catchy, just lots of slides:

(1:01-1:14)
D|--------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------|
F|-12\6-6\5-5/10-10------------12\6-6/10-10\5-5-----------------|
C|-12\6-6\5-5/10-10-(let ring)-12\6-6/10-10\5-5----(let ring)---|
G|-10\8-8\3-3/8--8-------------10\8-8/8---8\3-3-----------------|
C|--------------------------------------------------------------| x2

after you've let the last notes ring out enough, kick straight back in the
with verse:
(1:15-1:44)
D|-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
F|-------------5------------------------------5-----------10-----8-------|
C|-----5-3-3-5-5--6-6---3-555--3-55---5-3-3-5-5--6-6------10-----8-------|
G|-----5-3-3-5-3--6-6---3-555--3-55---5-3-3-5-3--6-6---0--8---0--6-------|
C|-----5-3-3-5----6-6---3-555--3-55---5-3-3-5----6-6---0------0----------|x4
you play the verse four over on the second time, then you kick back to the
prechorus

(1:45-1:59)
D|------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------|
F|-12\6-6\5-5/10-10------------5----5-------------|
C|-12\6-6\5-5/10-10---0-0-0-0--5-66-5-55--0-0-0-0-|
G|-10\8-8\3-3/8--8----0-0-0-0--3-66-3-55--0-0-0-0-|
C|--------------------0-0-0-0----66---55--0-0-0-0-|

Then again you play the open but this time you play it 27 times and again on
the last time you silence it straight away or you can dead note, your choice:
(2:00-2:11)
       D|-----|
       A|-----|
       F|-----|
       C|-0---|
       G|-0---|
       C|-0---| x27

Then back to the chorus:
(2:12-2:25)
D|--------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------|
F|-12\6-6\5-5/10-10------------12\6-6/10-10\5-5-----------------|
C|-12\6-6\5-5/10-10-(let ring)-12\6-6/10-10\5-5----(let ring)---|
G|-10\8-8\3-3/8--8-------------10\8-8/8---8\3-3-----------------|
C|--------------------------------------------------------------| x2

Then you get the breakdown/outro which is pretty much the same as the chorus
just a bit slower and with a couple of changes, also on the last one don't
let it ring cut straight into the opens:
(2:26-2:45)
D|----------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------------|
F|-12\6-6\5-5/10-----------------12\6-6/10-10\5-------------------|
C|-12\6-6\5-5/10--8--(let ring)--12\6-6/10-10\5--5---(let ring)---|
G|-10\8-8\3-3/8---10-------------10\8-8/8---8\3--3----------------|
C|----------------8------------------------------5----------------| x3

then its back to the opens:

(2:45-2:47)
       D|----------|
       A|----------|
       F|----------|
       C|-0-0-0-0--|
       G|-0-0-0-0--|
       C|-0-0-0-0--|

and back to the breakdown part one last time and again don't let the last
notes ring, cut straight into the opens:
(2:48-2:52)
D|----------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------------|
F|-12\6-6\5-5/10-----------------12\6-6/10-10\5-------------------|
C|-12\6-6\5-5/10--8--(let ring)--12\6-6/10-10\5--5----------------|
G|-10\8-8\3-3/8---10-------------10\8-8/8---8\3--3----------------|
C|----------------8------------------------------5----------------|

and finally the outro:

(2:52-3:04)
       D|----|
       A|----|
       F|----|
       C|-0--|
       G|-0--|
       C|-0--| x28

and the final bit, let the last note ring out till the end:

       D|------------|
       A|------------|
       F|----10----8-|
       C|----10----8-|
       G|-0--8---0-6-|
       C|-0------0---|
       pm - -
