Tuning: Normal
OK, so this is “Jordan, Minnesota” by Big Black, Steve Albini’s first little outfit from Chicago. It’s the first song on their “Atomizer” LP, which you can get on CD on the compilation, “The Rich Man’s Eight Track Tape”.
It’s mostly powerchords, use a lot of distortion so you get the feedback effects for the outro.
Intro and Main Riff:
e|------------------------------------------------------------------|
BB|------------------------------------------------------------------|
G+G|------------------------------------------------------------------|
D MajorD|-7-7-7-9-9-9-10-10-9-9-9-10-10-9-7-7-7-9-9-10---------------------|
A augmentedA|-7-7-7-9-9-9-10-10-9-9-9-10-10-9-7-7-7-9-9-10---------------------|
E MajorE|-5-5-5-7-7-7--8—-8—7-7-7--8--8-7-5-5-5-7-7--8---------------------|
ie, A, B, C, B, C, B, A, B, C majorC and hold the C. Lyrics: “AAAAH!”
For the verse, instead of holding the C majorC you just play,
A, B, C, B, C, BB over and over for a consistent rhythm.
Chorus:
“And this will stay with you until you die ...”

E MajorE|-10-10-10-10-10-10--9-10-10-10-10-10-10-11------------------------|
Played 4 times.
And that’s basically it. The structure is,
Intro,
Main Riff,
Main Riff without guitar,
Chorus,
Intro,
Chorus,
and then for the outro you just play the intro but hold the C majorC even longer, letting feedback ring out.
