----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Machines - Biffy Clyro - Puzzle Standard Tuning (EADGBe) Tabbed by Jack Cookson (Torn Asunder) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I noticed that some of the other versions of this song were missing chords so I thought I'd give it a shot at doing my own. I worked this out completely by ear, so no copying involved. It's around 99% correct I'd say, hope you enjoy playing this amazing song. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chords used: Don't play the strings marked with an 'x' E5 (022xxx) G5 (355xxx) C5 (x355xx) D5 (xx023x) Em7 (022033) G (320033) Cadd9 (x32033) Dsus4 (xx0233) Asus4 (x02233)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Simon doesn't always hit the high E string on the bottom 5 chords on the list. A lot of the time he only plays up to the B string but it still sounds good if you play the high E too, it just depends on what kind of a build up you want to have. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intro: (Listen to the song to get the chord changes) E5x4, G5x4, C5x8, D5x2, G5x4, C5x8 C5 I would dig a thousand holes to lay next to you C5 I would dig a thousand more if I needed to C5 I look around the grave for an escape route of old routines Cadd9 There doesn't seem to be any other way Cadd9 Cause I've started falling apart I'm not savouring life Cadd9 I've forgotten how good it could be to feel alive ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Interlude (Just play intro chords and get a buddy to play the melody, there's tabs for on it the site on different versions for sure.) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cadd9 Crazy as it sounds you wont feel as low as you feel right now Cadd9 At least that's what I've been told by everyone Asus4 I whisper empty sounds in your ear and hope that you won't let go Asus4 Take the pieces and build them skywards Cadd9 Cause I've started falling apart I'm not savouring life Cadd9 I've forgotten how good it could be to feel alive Cadd9 Cause I've started falling apart I'm not savouring life (Take the pieces...) Cadd9 I've forgotten how good it could be to feel alive (Take the pieces... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guitar solo, same chords as intro and interlude. (Again the tab should be somewhere for your second guitarist to play, or if you're amazing, you can use a LOOP PEDAL :D) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cadd9 I've started falling apart I'm not savouring life (Take the pieces and build them skywards) Cadd9 I've forgotten how good it could be to feel alive (Take the pieces and build them skywards) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get your loop pedal/buddy to play the interlude melody over these last verses. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cadd9 Cause I've started falling apart I'm not savouring life (Take the pieces...) Cadd9 I've forgotten how good it could be to feel alive (Take the pieces...) G Take the pieces and build them skywards and Asus4 Take the pieces and build them skywards and Cadd9
