About the Origin of the piece:

Agustin Barrios Mangore lived the last few years of
his life in the city
of San Salvador, El Salvador, surrounded by friends
and pupils.
One evening whilst teaching, an old lady knocked on
the door to beg for
an alm (limosna).  Her exact pleading words were: "UNA
LIMOSNITA POR EL
AMOR DE DIOS".  After the class, the knocks on the
door inspired the
tremolo masterpiece.  The knocks are apparant in the
first two bars of
the piece and they resound throughout the entire work
beneath the
beautiful yet desparate melody.  This was to be
Agustin's last composition
for he died a month later.

This is my fourth transcription and has to be my most
ambitious yet.
It is a tremolo piece.  Tremolo means "Trembling,
rapid repetition of note".
It is a difficult technique to master at first so
perseverence is the key.
Each beat is divided into four notes, the thumb
playing the base note
followed by a m i (ring, middle & index), repeating
the top note.
To save space and time, I have used the following
notation (t=tremolo).

I have included left hand fingering beneath the tab.
1 is for the
index finger, 2 is middle and so on.  It should be
self explanatory.
I have split the fingering into two levels, the
tremolo level and
the bass note level.  A 't' precedes the tremolo
fingering.

So here it is, the masterpiece itself.  Please email
me if you find
any mistakes.  The time is 3/4.  It is in the key of E
minor although
it changes halfway into the key of E major.  ENJOY!!!
