"The Old Apartment" BNL from "Barenaked Ladies Rock Spectacle" This song isn't much trouble, with the help of a piano playing aquaintance we worked it up, and pretty much by ear and memory, here's the extent of it. capo 3rd fret G D C G broke .. G D C this .. G D C G broken .. G D C this .. Em D C why .. Em D C why .. Em D C D G why .. G D C this .. Em D C why .. C D G why ..? G D C D *mute* these ..
G D C G broke .. G D C G forty-two .. G D C D G crooked ... G D C this is .. Em D C why .. Em D C why .. G D C D G why .. G D C this .. G D C how .. C D G how .. G D C D I .. (softly here, getting louder slowly after 2nd phrase, ending with hard strums on "I'm happy there" Em D G C I know .. Em D G C we .. Em D G D C she .. C D G I'm ... (normal volume now) G D C but .. G D C broke .. G D C tore .. G D C G only .. G D C D G i want .. G D C D G i want .. G D C i want ... G C D Em This is my first tab put into here, I hope it works, and I hope you enjoy it. On that last C chord, Ed does this thing going up a step kinda, and I'm assuming he's putting 2 extra light strums in to put a voicing with the 3rd fret on the 2nd string... I dunno, mess with it a little, and you'll get it with little trouble. Also all of the first chords on each phrase are hit a beat before the lyric comes in, not right on it. :) any questions, comments, critiques, not raging powetripping complaints.... can be sent to djmccoll@catskill.net thanx again, Ben (Squeege) Attachment converted: eudora:old_apartment.txt.SIT (SITD/SIT!)
