Pump Up The Volume tab by Art Brut

Pump up the volume - Art Brut
I couldn't find any tabs that did this song justice, so here I am. Although they use two guitarists when
playing, I have tabbed it as just one (with the exception of the miny riff in the verses). I think it sounds
just as good, and is a lot more satisfying to play it this way!
Please leave your suggestions below, I was uneasy about the solo but hopefully it's fine.

At points in the verse such as during the A and the F# chords there is a mini riff. If you are
playing this tab with only one guitar it is best to leave it out, but just in case here it is
e|--------|
B|---10---|
G|------9-|
D|-7------|
A|--------|
E|--------|
Finally, end with the chords D and E just as the intro did.

[Verse]
We'd taken our clothes off, in the wrong order
And you're leavin' your shoes to make you look taller
And I can't say I'm not enjoying the kissing
But I've a sneaking suspicion that you're not really listening
[Chorus/Main Riff]
I know I shouldn't
Is it so wrong
To break from your kiss
To turn up a pop song
I know I shouldn't
And it's possibly wrong
To break from your kiss
To turn up a pop song
[Verse]
I'm taking it slowly
I've been reading the signs
I found my hand in a place
Where I can't tell if she minds
Rolling around amongst our clothes on the floor
I can't help it:
"Have you heard this song before?"
[Chorus]
I know I shouldn't
Is it so wrong
To break from your kiss
To turn up a pop song
I know I shouldn't
And it's possibly wrong
To break from your kiss
To turn up a pop song
[Verse]
Then something angry muttered,
Between two people, red and flustered
We'd just kissed and that's about it
It may as well have been radio static
[Mini Solo]
[Chorus]
I know I shouldn't
Is it so wrong
To break from your kiss
To turn up a pop song
I know I shouldn't
And it's possibly wrong
To break from your kiss
To turn up a pop song
[Outro]
This consists of two guitars. One will be playing this riff
e|---0-2-5-9-5-2-0---0-2-5-9-5-2-0---0-2-5-9-5-2-0-5~-|
B|-2---------------2---------------2------------------|
G|----------------------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------|
The second will be playing the these triplets, again if you are playing this song as a solo guitarist I would
advise playing this part to finish the song rather than the mini riff.
