Pre-chorus:

You can either keep the notes going or you 
can either strum G Major, Em7 and then D
twice (what I like to do for the second D is
to had a bass note with my thumb on the second
fret of the E string) 8x times while palmuting
to kinda give that build up sensation towards
the chorus.

Chorus:

For the chorus (and basically the whole rest
of song until the outro) you're doing G Major,
Em7 and D (with or without the little
variation) and for the strumming pattern you do 
D DDUUDUDU Once for each and two for the D
